Strength training tones, not bulks.
Building large muscle mass requires specific training and nutrition, not just regular strength workouts.
Muscle increases metabolism.
The more muscle you have, the more calories your body burns at rest.
Strength training is key for body recomposition.
Strength training helps you lose fat while building muscle for a more defined physique. Overall weight may not change but body volume will decrease, as muscle is smaller than fat at the same weight.
Cardio won’t shape your body, strength training will.
The burn you feel when you run is aerobic exercise, which targets Type I muscle fibers. To change our body shape we strength train, which targets Type II muscle fibers and is anaerobic exercise. Don’t expect to feel the same burn as you do with aerobic exercise!
Progressive Overload Drives Results
Consistently increasing weight or intensity is what leads to real strength and physique changes – but this takes time.
Lifting weights improves bone density.
Strength training helps prevent bone loss and reduces the risk of osteoperosis later in life – even if you only weight train for a few years.

- Hi, I’m Kalyna, a coach specialized in Strength Training for Women with over a decade of experience.
- Here to be your guide in any gym; from learning equipment set-up, correcting form, proper gym etiquette, and body mechanics.

What the Gym Girl Club is not:
- Extreme or intense workout oriented. We are slow and consistent. Consistency will be the key to long term physique and strength changes.
- Fast. There is no easy fix or quick diet with us. We focus on mastering the mind-muscle connection, executing the proper form, and mastering intuitive eating habits. The average client starts seeing results in 6 months.
- One-size fits all. Every workout and exercise plan is tailored to you. We learn what your body likes and what it does not, which makes our program tailored directly to your bodies injuries, limitations, and comfortabilities.
